No matter how brilliant a driver is, whether it be natural or learned, many new drivers don't realize that it takes a whole team of professionals working behind the scenes, many of whom go unseen and uncredited, to get that driver onto the podium at the end of a race. From the crew chief who is an organisational genius, to the transport operator who also arranges, dismantles, and is the barbeque expert for the weekend, to the race mechanics, to the tank crewman who risks his life every time he hops over the wall to fuel the car, every single individual on the team has a very unique role and field of expertise.
